Exact dates unknown, episodes somewhere in the range August 13 - 31, 1984

Based on the AWHP synopses for 1984, these scenes have to occur between August 13 and 31 because it's during the time when Ada was hiding Catlin on the Cory Estate, after Sally knows he's still alive (week of August 13). The last scene is obviously when Larry has figured out that Catlin is at the Corys' and the police have come to capture him (week of August 27).

I am surprised to see that the bar where Rachel went looking for Ross was called the Crossbow and it was not the Pig Whistle.

Sally: It's Sally. [Opening of door. Kissing.]

Sally: But I am, I'm going to help now.

Catlin: No, you don't have to. Rachel's going to give the sketch to the bartender and give him a number to call in case he spots the guy.

Sally: Yeah, that's good, but I just can't sit around and wait.

Catlin: Look, I don't want you doing anything that's the least bit dangerous. I love you and I don't want anything to happen to you.

Sally: Nothing will.

Catlin: OK. I want you to promise me.

Sally: You know you're worried about nothing. I've got this little problem, remember? They're called the police. They are following me everywhere.

Catlin: Well that's OK. At least I know that you're protected.

Sally: Yeah well that means that I've got to have a cover every time I want to see you. And carrying sketches isn't always going to work.

Catlin: Let's not talk about it now. You're HERE with ME.

Sally: I can't stay for very long. Mac isn't home and they're going to get suspicious.

Catlin: You can stay a little while, can't you?

Sally: I love you.

Catlin: I love you. [KISSING.]

Sally: I'll come back tonight.

Catlin: Good.

Sally: Do you think Rachel will mind another visit?

Catlin: I won't mind. [KISSING.]

Sally: I -- I better go. [She left. He sat down on the bed and put his head in his hands. She knocked again. He opened the door.] Just one more kiss. [KISSING. ]

Catlin: I don't know, Sally. I mean, I'm glad you're feeling better, but --

Sally: Me too.

Catlin: But they could come back again, and then I want you to see a doctor.

Sally: I LIVE with a doctor, remember? Please stop worrying. I'm not going to get any more headaches.

Catlin: How can you be so sure?

Sally: Because I know what cured me.

Catlin: You do, huh?

Sally: Mhm.

Catlin: Well, I hate to take all the credit, but --

Sally: Well there is another reason.

Catlin: Oh, great, I figured.

Sally: We're so close to finding the killer.

Catlin: Yeah, maybe. Did you get a chance to talk to Rachel this morning?

Sally: Oh, well. I tried but Mac came in.

Catlin: I was wondering how it went last night at the Crossbow.

Sally: Me too. Well as soon as Mac goes to work she'll let us know.

Sally: In spite of everything I feel so relaxed.

Catlin: I know what you mean. And that sure is something for a guy who's on the run. With a death sentence hanging over his --

Sally: No. None of that exists this morning.

Catlin: OK, if you say so.

Sally: I've been doing some thinking. Have you?

Catlin: Yeah, lots.

Sally: I mean about our future, and what we're going to do when we get you cleared.

Catlin: Well to tell you the truth I haven't let myself think about that.

Sally: On my way home last night I saw something --

Catlin: What? A shooting star?

Sally: No. A house. Whole bunch of them over at that new development near Riverdale.

Catlin: The high rent district.

Sally: Well -- they're beautiful, but they don't cost more than maybe sixty, seventy thousand dollars.

Catlin: Oh, is that all?

Sally: No, come on, Catlin. Pretty soon the two of us are going to be able to have that kind of money.

Catlin: Come on Sally. I don't even have a job.

Sally: I bet Mac would hire you in a second.

Catlin: Right. Doing what?

Sally: Well the publishing business is so full of opportunities.

Catlin: Yeah. Well, we'll see.

Sally: Honey, if you were able to find the right area, someplace --

Catlin: I said we'll see, OK? [pause]

Sally: You never really did have one, did you? [pause] I understand.

Catlin: I don't think you can. You've always had Alice to take care of you. And to give you a nice home.

Sally: Well, I will always be grateful to her for that, but ever since my parents died there's been a part of me that -- I don't know.

Catlin: Been looking for a home? Your own home?

Sally: Yeah.

Catlin: You know, until I met you, I never thought about the future. I never thought I could love someone as much as I love you.

Sally: Oh, Catlin. I love you.

Catlin: When you touch me and I touch you I feel like there could be a future with us.

Sally: There will be. There WILL BE. [KISSING.]

Catlin: Did you make this yourself?

Sally: No, I folded the napkin. Diane did everything else.

Catlin: That is a great napkin.

Sally: Shut up and eat.

Catlin: What's the story with Rachel?

Sally: What?

Catlin: I thought she was going to come and talk to me.

Sally: Well -- she got real busy this morning.

Catlin: Did you get a chance to see her?

Sally: No, not really.

Catlin: Well what does that mean? Either you did or you didn't.

Sally: Well, she was in a rush. And Mac called her and said he wanted to have lunch with her. But I'm sure she'll come back and see you later.

Catlin: Well I just wanted to find out what happened at the Crossbow last night. Did she give you any clue?

Sally: Well --

Catlin: She did go, didn't she?

Sally: Yeah, yeah, she went --

Catlin: And?

Sally: Nothing. Nothing happened. The killer didn't show up.

Catlin: Is something the matter? What's bothering you?

Sally: Nothing.

Catlin: Come on. Something's bothering you. Tell me?

Sally: I did. Rachel went to all that trouble and stayed in that awful bar and the guy never showed up.

Catlin: Well that's OK. I'm not worried.

Sally: Yeah well I am.

Catlin: Don't be. Come here. Come HERE, will you. Look, we saw the guy, right?

Sally: Well, yeah, but --

Catlin: OK. He's going to go back there again. It's just a matter of time before we catch him.

Sally: Aren't you going to EAT?

Catlin: I can't eat and hold you at the same time. And I'd rather hold you.

Sally: No. Now I smuggled, you eat.

Catlin: Later. Is something bothering you?

Sally: I just hate having to hide like this.

Catlin: Well I hate it too, but it's a lot better than jail.

Sally: It's so good to be with you even like this. [KISSING.] You know there is still a moment every morning when I wake up and it hits me: Catlin is alive.

Catlin: I'm waiting for the day when we can walk down the street TOGETHER and not care who sees us. [KISSING.]

Catlin: Does that make a thousand?

Sally: A thousand what?

Catlin: Sketches you've done of me.

Sally: You're a good subject.

Catlin: Well at least I've learned how to sit still. What are you going to do with all those sketches?

Sally: Look at 'em. When I'm away from you.

Catlin: Well that's not going to be for long.

Sally: I know.

Catlin: Something's still bothering you.

Sally: Nothing more than what I said before, really.

Catlin: You don't have to be stuck in here.

Sally: Honey, I'm not STUCK, I want to be here with you.

Catlin: You know what? Let's go for a walk.

Sally: We can't do that, you know that.

Catlin: No I don't. Come on, let's.

Sally: Somebody might see you.

Catlin: Look, this estate is huge. We'll go down by the lake, nobody will be there.

Sally: We cannot take chances like that.

Catlin: Baby, you came here in broad daylight. If anybody sees us I'll just cut out and you just keep walking naturally by yourself nice and easy.

Sally: Right. Alone? In the dark? In the woods? Real natural.

Catlin: Come on. I just -- I just want to take a walk with you and just hold your hand.

Sally: You will. But not now.

Catlin: Please?

Sally: Catlin. When I thought you were dead I -- I nearly went crazy. And somehow a miracle brought you back and I'm not going to take a chance on losing you again.

Catlin: You're never going to lose me again. [Silence. Terrible imitations. A lot of laughing. Then Catlin kissed her and kissed her and kissed her and picked her up and carried her over to the bed. They were still on the bed when Nancy came bashing on the door.]

Nancy: Get up open the door quick, it's me Nancy.

Catlin: What's wrong? We heard sirens.

Nancy: It's the police. Mom just called, they know you're here.

Catlin: Oh, GREAT.

Sally: Catlin, what are we going to do?

Nancy: Take one of the horses from the stables.

Catlin: That's no use.

Sally: MOVE, Catlin, GO.

Catlin: All right. Meet me in the cabin.

Sally: When?

Catlin: Tomorrow afternoon.

Nancy: GO, GO, YOU, GO.

Sally: All right I'll see you. [Catlin fled.]
