Peter bears Perry no animosity. Donna doesn't want Perry to leave. He says he can't stay. She said she loved him like a son. Don't be a stranger, she said. Marley bade him good-bye. He's going to stay above Smiley's. (Bad move. The predatory MAISIE is there.) She told him he was her best friend.
Tom's snappish. Quinn told her it was best. Tom wants to go alone. She's not told Carter. She says it's her problem.
Carter talked to Grant. He says he wants her [Tom] to have his baby and they can be a family. Grant told him not to romanticize the situation. He says he's not. His father told him to tell Tom.
Mac dropped in on Sandy and Blaine. He wants them to work at Cory. Blaine won't decide until Sandy does. Sandy's not sure. He almost didn't want Carl to die. He wanted to rout him fair'n'square. Mac promised he & Jamie's have an equal standing. Sandy seems to have leanings toward television: KBAY 'thout Carl.
Brian's at the Loves'. He suggested that Peter take a break. He's unpopular with clients these days. And he needs a rest. They want to give him an easy case but he doesn't like it. He resigned. Donna came in and kept asking questions about what was going on. She was told to butt out.
Felicia stopped by to see Mac. She wants him to buy up KBAY. He'd like to. No legal hassles. Carl liquidated his estate before he left. Felicia & Mac are worried about Perry.
Further Swiss Alp windy sounds. Carl opened his eyes.
Tom's at the hospital. The abortion is to take place sometime this morning. She has to sign a form giving permission to perform the surgery and saying she didn't make the decision under duress. Alice told her it was minor surgery. Tom's nervous but putting up a Brave Front. She thanked Alice for her help. Alice wants to be sure she's doing what she wants.
Carter's looking for Tom. Quinn reluctantly told him where she was. He told her off and left.
Donna's going to have a party. She wants to make amends to those Carl hurt. She wants to demonstrate the fact that they're pillars of the community.
Peter asked Mac to rehire him at Cory. (I can't imagine Catlin would appreciate that.) Mac's going to consider it.
Felicia found Perry. She says Donna invited her to a party but she can't go. She asked how he was. As well as can be expected. She doesn't care about his lunch crowd. He told her he'd moved out. She approved. She told him not to forget his friends. He's going to invite folk over when he's settled. At least he wasn't crying today.
Sandy has a hospital board meeting. She wants him to decide. She wants to work with him. He's not sure. He refuses to do things to make Mac happy. He's lost now that he can't pursue Carl longer. She UNDERSTANDS and supports him. Next to getting Carl nothing else seems very interesting.
Tom's being given her pre-op shot.
Carter arrived at the hospital. He's rushing up the stairs. Alice hopes he's not too late.
Peter's making phone calls finding out about Carl rechannelling funds. He has all of the Love money. Good heavens.
Carl's equipped with a flask and a largish book. TO LAZARUS AND TO LOVE he said.
