Mac kept choking. Rachel found him. He was all right. He told her he was coughing because of the dust in the jar. He exhibits forgetfulness already. They left.
Jake is crawling around with a KBAY camera looking at the treasure. Donna ran into Marley. Marley has to talk to her. Neal ran into Victoria and tried a line about their paths being destined to cross and knowing her as a woman by whom he would not be bored. She agreed because she had no intention of going out with him. Ever. I get no kick from champagne.
A strange waitress raved to Sally and Aunt Liz about wonderful grant. She worked herself up to tears and fled. Today is the first day of counseling and Sally is not jumping for joy. Liz tried to make a speech about the death of Grant being a lesson in not waiting until too late to change things to us all. Sally shut her up. Catlin came to bear Sally away.
Marley told Donna she had to find her father. Enter Britt and Peter. Donna didn't want to hear about Jake's rescue of Marley so she stomped off. Peter didn't want to talk about Carl. Donna made Rachel introduce her to Neal. She wants him to meet her sisters. [Neal: what a character. Rachel: what a nuisance. Neal: that's because she's so beautiful. Rachel: why are men so gullible? Neal: because she's so beautiful. Rachel: stick around, Neal, you'll get to know her.]
Terry has cold feet. Fayez hasn't. Terry thanks Neal likes to live too dangerously.
Chris and Nancy gave interviews. Chris doesn't like it. Jake doesn't want to date him. [Blood sugar is not his thing.] Chris thanked Mac for his help with Ada. Felicia announced her engagement to the Corys. Chris told them about the virus in the dust in the tomb. Rachel said "hm". Mac captured Donna and said her father had died of tomb dust. She denied it and put his death down to a heart ailment. She stomped off.
Sally and Caitlin were told to be honest. Was asked when the problems had started. He said it was the beginning of Lesoleil [and incidentally like the detectiving] because Sally's "work" took up so much time and she was forever gallivanting unnecessarily with her lustful fellow Lesoleilites. He denied resenting the money. She said nothing had happened between her and Daniel. He brought up Michaud. She said it was not a question of Michaud and Daniel, it was a question with of sleeping with wifeex. Talking cannot change it.
Rachel thanked Peter for his work in Chicago. He's so modest. He and Britt went to dance. Rachel told Mac it was getting serious. MORE FORGETFULNESS: he'd forgotten that Britt had gone to the Loves' for Christmas. Neal told Nancy about his sailing. She's not sure about college, she wants to LIVE. Mac's under the weather. He's warm. Rachel attacked Chris. Donna told Vic that just one of the necklaces on display was enough to save the house AND MORE. Vic was interested. Left alone Vic thought about her argument with Peter [if you want to kill Donna...] and slipped a necklace into her handbag. Photographer Jake got a swell shot of her back obscuring the crime. Donna introduced her to Neal. She said she was leaving. Donna told her to get acquainted. Neal dragged her off to dance. Jake and Marley are doing swell. Marley is violently ambitious for him. The party's almost over. Britt and Peter are on their way out. Britt is mildly scornful of Donna's determination to get the treasure. Mac has a burning feeling behind the eyes and a headache. Chris suggested flu. Mac should go home. Call him if anything goes strange. Ada went with Mac and Rachel. Chris suggested he and Nancy slip away and team up for adventure at his place. She has to pack her bags. Victoria came rushing away from Neal and dropped her purse. It kind of clunked. She scooped it up and fled. He looked at her funny.
Victoria drove along with Heart "Never" playing in the background Police sirens.

Chris thought about Nancy in various situations in the desert as he waited for her to get her bags from the Corys'. Nancy and nature. Nancy came down with a blanket. Chris suggested trying it out. She said they'd met on that very spot six months ago. He asked if they ought to erect a monument. She looked at him squiggle-eyed and cleared her throat and agreed they ought. He said he didn't think Mac would appreciate a three ton slab of granite on his oriental rug so they decided to go to his place.
Sally said it was over. Catlin said it couldn't be. She said his explanation hadn't made any sense and if she had to listen to him any more she'd go stark raving mad. The counselor said that Catlin seemed to think the relationship was worth saving and Sally didn't [query: why is she agreeing to be counseled if she thinks it's a waste of time?] She said it hurt too much and it was dead.
Victoria pulled over and decided she couldn't go through with it [we can't go on just running away...]
Neal wants everything. He wants Terry of the cold feet kept in line. Victoria came back.
Catlin and Larry had a brother-to-brother talk about wives being against infidelity. Catlin is despondent. Larry told him of how well his technique of just moving back in had worked. Clarice is not likely to forgive him but they ARE together. Catlin said he couldn't move back in. Larry said there had to be some way to get to her. Catlin eyed the strange waitress funny. [Making her jealous is not likely to work.... it was other women that got you in trouble in the first place, you chump.]
Britt thought about her this thing is bigger than both of us speech in the stables and Catlin's capitulation. And then sending her away from the cabin. Peter came to sit with her. They've been bar hopping to find a place to do the Texas two-step. He offered to show her squash. She made fun of squash and told him she'd have him riding cross country. She's thrilled to have loosened him up. She asked about Emily. He hasn't been out much since she died. This feels like New Year's Eve.
Victoria searched for a way to escape from the strangers stomping around. She found a door and fled without seeing Neal Cory who may or may not have seen her.
Rachel gave Mac chamomile tree [sic]. He is unwell. He said she should have been wearing the red velvet Paris original he'd bought her. She was surprised. That was years ago before they were married. He was surprised.
