Chris called Rachel to tell her he'd arranged to have an expert help him and Dr Biggs. Chris won't stop until he finds the cure.
Victoria's car stalled.
Cass hid. The cop rang the doorbell. He asked to take a look around. Cass' name came up. Kathleen said she hadn't seen him in weeks. She told him Cass' jacket was MJ's. He gave the place a perfunctory once over and told her to call if she saw Cass. Exit cop. Cass emerged. To Seattle we will go.
Mac is yelling about there being a war on. He is not making a good, sane impression on the psychiatrist. Nancy sent Rachel to bed. Dr McIntyre doesn't know what's up with Mac.
The cure is extremely experimental, never having been tested. Let's get this done tonight. Imposs! Cries Dr Jonas Biggs.
Peter told Victoria about Donna's trip to Switzerland. Vic: so do you really think that she's going to get some of this money back from Carl Hutchins a state? Peter: you'd like that, wouldn't you Victoria? Vic: oh, no, Peter, I would like if we could lose a whole bunch more money. Peter is not optimistic. Vic was not forthcoming about where she'd been. He raved about how no one told him anything any more. He is suspicious about the money for the estate. He went to bed. Vic's counting on Neal for further income.
Neal yelled at Fayez for going into town. The chopper will be landing two days late. Neal wants the landing site cleared by tomorrow regardless.
Cass likes spring and regards winter as a necessary evil. L.A. is not for him. Kathleen will love Seattle.
For the first time in ages Peter did not gnash his teeth at the mention of Carl Hutchins. He is confused by Mac's disease. OHO. Now the gnashing. "HUTCHINS. Even in death." She [Rachel]'s turning Cory over to Peter for the time being. Mac bounded in all sweetness and light raving about Hemingway and New York in spring. He told Peter these were officers' quarters and he should leave. Rachel said Peter was an orderly. It's OK. Exit Mac with the air of trailing clouds of glory. *
Chapin and Biggs at work. Testing the serum with a computer program. Strange but otherworldly tune, at any rate.
Kathleen is behaving like a normal person for a change. Elvira the real estate agent dropped in with food for them and let it slip that this was their honeymoon. HONEYMOON? I can explain.
Nancy hasn't been sleeping well. Neal convinced her to let him take her to lunch.
Britt flattered Peter about how much he cared about Mac and didn't try to take advantage of the situation for personal gain. She won't speak ill of Donna because her daddy always told her never to speak ill of the travelling. He asked if her daddy had warned her against being alone with men like him. She whispered "I don't remember" and they lapsed into silence. She withdrew and demanded something permanent. He stomped out.
The computer checks out. It's not certain that the drug will work and the dosage is in doubt.
Neal has Aspirations. Mac inspires him. Nancy wishes she were a little more like Chris. Neal led the conversation around to Fayez. She wants him brought to justice. Neal suggested she'd imagined him. He began raving about Cape Horn and lack of sleep so he'd imagined an island. He managed to sway her conviction.
Annie ran into Peter in Smiley's. He was thrilled.
Neal dropped in on Victoria. She hinted about her car stalling. He threatened to ask her out soon. She said she'd get her car tuned. And after he left declared he shouldn't escape her again.
Cass said the honeymoon was just a ploy. Kathleen subtly indicated that paralysis did not a perfect wedding night help. He said the chair had nothing to do with his love for her. She made her meaning a little plainer. He told her to trust him.
Peter and Annie left Smiley's together. I suspect Britt was lurking in the shadows.
Chris is willing to take risks to save the Corys. Dr Biggs is wary.
Cass has faith. All he asks is Kathleen's cooperation.
