Tom and Carter and Dee and Nancy went back to Chris' place. Mrs. James had left scores of messages on Chris' machine. Nancy disapproves.
Brittany went back to the Love mansion having caught the bride's bouquet. Bridget was thrilled. Britt told her Peter had left the reception with Annie.
Victoria lurked about in some shrubbery.
Nancy told Chris not to see Mrs. James. He said he could talk to her. Nancy disapproves. Tom seems a little worried. Chris called in the face of wholly reasonable opposition and suggested Mrs. James call Dr Willis. She insisted her heart was beating irregularly. Nancy caught sight of Chris' bag and hid it. Chris told everyone he had to go. Tom dragged Carter home and took Dee with them. Chris and Nancy quarreled. He couldn't find his bag.
Annie dragged Peter ice skating. It was painfully obvious to me that she was being spontaneous and attractive. She told him she was thinking about stopping in Bay City. She mentioned Brittany. He asked what she thought of her. She said that she blamed Brittany for Zane getting the short end of the stick when he was looking after her. They agreed she'd changed. They went out skating.
Lurk. Lurk. Lurk. Victoria was apprehended by a stranger — the man we love? Yes it is Jake. He demanded answers. She was evasive and told him to leave her alone. He refused to go. She agreed to show him what she was doing if he'd only be quiet.
Britt bitched to Bridget about Annie and complained that nothing ever worked out for her. Bridget told her this would work out. Britt left.
Peter said that it was a good thing Zane and Felicia didn't skate in the dark as they'd probably have had children by now [whatever THAT means]. He has a time when he is with Annie. Donna doesn't know how to enjoy herself. Britt does. Peter said sometimes he felt invisible after all of those years of hiding from father Love. She kissed him to show him he wasn't to her.
Nancy denied all knowledge of the bag. Chris got mad. She's only trying to prevent him throwing away his career over a hypochondriac.
Peter disengaged himself. Annie asked him to stay. He refused because of Brittany. She told him to go for a lasting relationship with Britt. He apologized. They parted on good terms. Kissing.
Nancy told Chris he was bent on proving he was unlike his father. They argued about life in general as he looked for his bag. She got mad and gave him his bag back telling him to live his life without her and the medical license. HAVE A NICE LIFE. Exit Nancy.
Victoria showed Jake the treasure. He accused her of being involved in the theft. She denied it and said the thieves couldn't do anything if they stole a few jewels from them. He told her it was a dumb idea and bad. she told him no one would know. He told her not to be an idiot. She told him she'd done this so he could get the Plains Motel. He pointed out that she could have been shot helping him. The voices of Fayez and Neal were heard in the distance. We ran for cover. Enter Fayez and Neal. Neal thought he'd heard something and ordered more guards put on. Fayez is to go to Chicago and cameras must be installed by the end of the week.
Peter went to Brittany's place. She asked if he'd come to tell her he was in love with Annie Lindquist.
Nancy complained to Rachel about Mrs. James. She said she felt like she was losing Chris to his work. Rachel told her everything was fine.
Peter denied it. He told Britt he felt funny about her and he'd been thinking about marriage. And then he thinks about Sally & Catlin and divorce. Britt panicked and said it was because they didn't know each other well enough. Peter seized that and said they needed to take the time to get to know each other. He suggested they go to London in May. She said she'd think about it. She got upset and said she felt like she was being used. He told her he'd seen how much she loved Catlin a little while ago. She said she loved him [Peter] now. He said they'd take it slowly in case she was deluding herself. He promised spring and London would fix things. He asked her to go to a movie tomorrow night. He left.
Rachel surprised Neal at the phone. He said he was calling a girl and launched into a speech about how he wanted it all — power, prestige, success. Rachel said it was funny he hadn't mentioned love.
Fayez had the area searched. Jake and Vic cowered out of sight when the coast was clear they crept out and when Jake laid Victoria's involvement in treasure theft at Neal's door she vociferously denied it. He said they had to go to the police. She kept on at him to steal a jewel.
Tom wouldn't let Nancy talk about Mrs. James because the less she knows the better. She wants to help him.
Britt smashed things. London in the spring is not a pleasing prospect.
Rachel went back to bed. Neal called Fayez and told him to irrevocably seal the sneaky back entrance.
Victoria left Jake alone so he could steal a jewel without anyone knowing. Jake held one in his hand for a long moment.
