ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

August 18, 1986

MJ was very pleased to hear Cecile's husband was an obnoxious thirteen-year-old. Adam and MJ are eager to get Reginald. Adam reminded her they had a date.

Michael asked Donna why she was hesitating. She said it was her father.

Marley hit Reginald a lot. He laughed at her. he told her she had spirit. She yelled at him for doing bad things to Donna. He said the Loves had done well for themselves without him. She told him he was despicable and a few other things besides. He said she was enchanting.

Michael explained his Reginald investigation to Donna. She can't think what he was doing in Paraguay. He said he wanted to talk about them. He asked her to marry him. She said yes.

MJ tried to fob Adam off. Kathleen took his side and evaporated. MJ brought up the possibility of ruining their working relationship. He persisted. She gave in. He saw someone at the window (Cheryl, the blonde faceless being?) but found nothing. He left. Cheryl lurked outside.

Michael laughed and tickled Donna until she said it again and again. Tender Love and shrieks of laughter. He told her to set a date. She panicked. He suggested they get confused about all that later and made her stick to the date. She narrowed it down to autumn. He asked her out to celebrate the engagement. Kissing. Big Time kissing.

Scott asked Nancy about apartments. She told him there was a nearly vacant one upstairs. Greg arrived with a depressing letter.

Marley and Reginald discussed how like a vulture he was. They agree he is but he thinks it's swell and she doesn't.

Greg has to leave for Med school in Boston in 2 weeks. Nancy told him how swell that was. He said he was depressed at having to leave her. She reminded him it was a summer fling. They went out to fix a lightbulb and Cheryl (unknown to either of them) asked who had died. She was thrilled to hear it had been Zane.

Kathleen bugged MJ about Adam. MJ got upset. She called her condescending.

Reginald told Marley how swell love was. Somebody made a noise like a door falling open and cried "huaaagh." It was Jake to the rescue. Marley assured him everything was all right and introduced them. Reginald asked if they were in love. Jake made inarticulate noises. He asked if they were planning marriage. Marley said they were just friends. Reginald asked Jake his opinion. Jake said "whatever she says." Reginald discovered that he was a bartender with a longing to have his own nightclub and made noises about financial backing which were quickly stemmed. He was excessively cordial and asked them to stay to lunch. They declined.

Adam made Nancy dance to '40s music ("I can't dance to this, it's from the early nineteen HUNDREDS") with Greg. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.

Michael rang Donna, I mean he ringed her, I mean he gave her an engagement ring. They were suddenly pestered by newsguys.

Mitch is afeared of meeting Michael in the tunnel. Reginald told him not to worry. He's looking for the trump in the tunnel joining the Love and Cory stables. Reginald refused to divulge the nature of the trump: "you'll know it when you see it." Mitch said a person on parole needed a real job to allay the suspicions of the parole officer. Reginald said he'd fix it.

Adam arranged to take MJ to a French restaurant and the Powerhouse for dancing. Kathleen asked why she was so uptight. MJ denied it.

Michael told the reporters to leave them alone.

Greg is beginning to dislike the thought of Boston winters. Nancy is heroically not standing between him and med school.

Michael hit a camera, it seems. He bathed his knuckles. Donna fussed. She's afraid of her father finding out they're engaged. Michael reassured her.

Reginald had Jake looked up. For all his previous civility he seems to want Jake rubbed out.

Jake's shoulder hurts. He forbade Marley to go hanging around Reginald anymore. She told him she didn't want him to follow her around anymore. He said he didn't believe her.
