Felicia and Zane aren't answering the phone. Wally's in agony.
Bridget sent for Jake to interrogate Victoria about the money. She denied everything. Jake didn't believe her. Victoria told them her aunt Nicole had produced it. Jake didn't believe her. Vic insisted and left to change for her date. Bridget is distressed. Jake is suspicious and worried.
Neal and Fayez are concerned about the missing gems. Fayez means to punish the thief with death. They deduced that the theft occurred during the party. Neal intends to get to the bottom of this. He left to deal with pleasure before business.
Zane will miss Felicia when he's in Duluth. Felicia will make lunch for the Lindquists' return. He uses words like "fungus" in referring to Edouard. Felicia's dying to meet Annie and have her as a bridesmaid. She released Zane. Wally arrived. Wally: Zane. I thought you were in Duluth. Zane: I am. This is just a figment of your imagination. Zane left. Wally disclosed his foolproof plan. Felicia doesn't want to be the fool.
Chris is willing to restore Mac to his home. Mark asked if he had Alzheimer's. He wants the truth. Chris said not. Mac's paranoid. He mentioned Chapin senior. Rachel breezed in with a basket lunch snuck past the nurses. Chris left. Mac said he was going home. They sent for champagne [this is one hell of a hospital].
Marley told Nancy about the salvation of the house. Spiffy Neal entered. He flirted with Nancy but said because of Chris he'd just have to grit his teeth and take Victoria. [Nancy: Ouch. You'll have to do a lot of gritting. Neal: do I detect a note of hostility? Nancy: well I don't know. I wouldn't get too hung up on that woman if I were you Neal no matter how much attention she pays you. Neal: at least somebody is paying me attention. And you know what they say, any port in a storm. Nancy: well I'd say she's been a port in many storms. Neal: you know you might save me from myself if you had a mind to.] She told him she'd been talking to a friend whose house was saved.
Felicia and Wally went to check out the house. Felicia can't bring herself to believe that the DA frequents the place. Wally was civil to some passing inmates and she nearly throttled him ["do you know those girls?" "of course I don't I was merely being sociable. IT'S A SOCIAL CLUB, IT'S A SOCIAL CLUB."] She's nervous. They mean to discredit Martin. Enter a Madam ever willing to oblige. They have rented the room at the top of the stairs.
Bridget thinks Jake still loves Victoria. Bridget is in all likelihood mildly deluded. Gather ye rosebuds while you may, old time is still a-flying [To Virgins, To Make Much Of Time] i.e. date Neal Cory [who is very interesting] while the dating's good and the temp. infat. with Marley lasts. Enter Neal. Things are weird. Neal was put in his proper place and the port and storm theory refuted. He's brought takeout chicken so she'll fall in love with him and make him a person with whom one goes to bed. Chicken takeout fails to thrill.
Felicia made-up a story about why she wanted the room. Her husband is cruel and loveless and she's fallen for a man called John. [Pause for John jokes and laughter.] John is everything Mr. Grady isn't. Life is even stranger than at the Love house. Who wants to be tall? fits the situation. Hissed Felicia "you think you're short now?" He [Wally] went to pay.
Rachel was sneaky in order to get paper cups for champagne. She prattled about his swell room. Mac flipped out and yelled about flouting the rules and disliking champagne. He slipped back in and demanded a hug and thanked her for everything and said he loved her. He asked for champagne.
Victoria is not quite in love with Neal. She showed him out when he grew bold in his conversation.
Chris and Nancy read about the treasure in the paper. The organization has made ransom demands. Neal joined them in Smiley's. He tsked over the news. Nancy figures the treasure's in the Middle East. Chris doubts it. She insisted on a pool and produced a sheet of paper for each of them to guess. She expressed incredulity at Chris's answer [Neal struggled to spell Uruguay] and they left for the hospital. Neal found Chapin had written USA. He looked thoughtful.
Felicia built a hat with a camera inside. It clicks alarmingly. It's tallish. She's making curtains for the boathouse. They went over the plan. Click click click click. They expect Cass to be grateful.
When Chris and Nancy arrived Mac flipped out and refused to publish Frederick Chapin's autobiography. Uncanny really how junior looks so like senior.
Bridget raved about the treasure theft at great length. She has faith in the police.
Neal the virtuous wants the terrorists put away for life. Maisie is in accord. Enter Jake. He's planning a wedding, you know. He mentioned the pictures he'd taken of the treasure party. Neal looked peculiar.
Mac is still flipped. He raved about teenage mistresses and Rachel couldn't calm him. Chris wants a brain scan. Mac ordered him out lunging at him. Chris escaped with his life.

Felicia's worried about lunch. They got word that the DA is on his way to Baxter St. Significant location.
Chris refuses to let Mac go the way his father did. Nancy asked if it were the same thing.
