Donna told Victoria to stop shoving her into Michael. He burst in raving about McKinnons.
I am waiting for someone to do something irrevocable to Vince. He demanded that Zane tell what he suspected.
Kathleen met the Ewings in Smiley's. She is collecting rubberneckers, evidently people who have never seen a real live jilted bride before. Sally soothed her. Maisie tried to feed her. The Ewings got her to submit to whole wheat toast. She's big on not being pitied. Kathleen told Catlin the police hadn't a clue and hired him to find Cass.
Zane refused to tell Vince anything. Jake took his side. MJ joined them in telling Vince Cass wouldn't have run off with another woman. He was not terribly convinced. They said Cass loved Kathleen.
Michael yelled at Donna and refused to let Victoria leave. He accused them of being in cahoots. He asked Donna why she was so selfish and destructive. She denied being like her father.
Vince tried to send MJ to bed. MJ had Jake escort him to the bar & grill. Zane told MJ he had something extra and confidential to say. He told her of the weird behavior and the phone calls and the strangers. He said Cass loved Kathleen and he'd seemed mad at the women. She asked him to try to identify them from mugshots.
Kathleen refused to go home. She insisted on going to the precinct.
Michael yelled at Victoria. Donna took her side. He was thoroughly disgusted.
Ada was pleased with Jake's work. She was civil to Vince. He seemed to think she was being excessively nice.
Zane couldn't identify the women from the mugshots. Kathleen arrived. Larry dragged the cab driver in for questioning. He played dumb. Kathleen attacked him when he brought up his five hungry children and mortgage. They pried her off. He told them all he knew, including his suspicion that someone was following them. Like, a van. Larry was suddenly alert. He put an APB out on an 82-83 metallic blue van seen in the parking lot. The tuxedo van. Kathleen was distressed.
Donna told Victoria the horrible things her father had called her when she was pregnant. She said she'd waited for Michael to save her until the disillusionment of the forged letters. She'd started to hate Michael for deserting her. Vic found Donna had looked up Michael at the library. He knows so many people and goes so many places that I'm sick. Calm down, guys. Victoria was impressed.
Jake asked Nancy why she was looking at him funny. She said no reason. He told her to fix her attitude problem about the bar & grill. He doesn't love the place but he'll make the best of it. She said at least she didn't lie. He asked what he was lying about. She said [having hesitated] about loving the place. He said so what if he didn't love it and she said what was he in love with anyway?
Victoria read on about her father. She was sickeningly impressed with his famous friends and associates. He went to a seriously wild wedding and did various other things. I am so sick. Enough is enough. Donna took the cards from her. Vic accused her of being jealous of his other woman. She told her she was as wonderful as any of them and the kind of woman Michael needed. Donna was pleased. She went to look him up for a cozy chat about her morals.
Larry composed a chart. MJ got a call. She tried to send Kathleen home. Sally was only too willing to take her. MJ told Larry to pray the phone call had nothing to do with Cass.
Jake told Nancy it was a stupid question. He was withering. He assured her he was in love with Marley, not that he seemed to care whether she believed him. She asked him what would happen if Marley unpacked his things.
Kathleen was worried about the mysterious phone call. She rushed back into the station house.
Donna tracked Michael to Smiley's. She showed him her file cards. She asked if he was curious about her life since he left. He said he'd learned a lot already. She offered to divulge more. She told him when her father died she'd decided to look after herself and her family. She said she'd do anything to protect them. She said if he left now the twins would be devastated. She can tell by the number of ex-women he has that he is incapable of lasting commitment. He said he hadn't been able to make a lasting commitment to a woman who wasn't her. Her face haunted him.
Victoria found Jake at the bar & grill. Jake seems to have made a career out of smashing guys who took a fancy to Victoria. She cornered him and told him what she wanted. He told her to cut it out. Enter Vince and Nancy.
Kathleen returned just in time to hear MJ describe the body they have to view. Cass is dead? said Kathleen.
