Brittany gushed over her baby and recalled Peter and Catlin each insisting that it was his baby. (Why don't Peter & Catlin get married and raise the child together?) She's confused. She thought about saying she would tell the truth. Catlin phoned.
Sam bugged Jake some more. The other picnickers appeared.
Cass affected yet another accent (American, although I couldn't place it. No Henry Higgins, Sarah) and phoned Kathleen to say if she wanted Prometheus alive she had to come to the Northwoods Inn and ask for Harvey. He's been causing trouble, he says. He really wants to set up a meeting with Cecile, so she can explain. Cass left Prometheus in charge of Cecile and went to checkout the French Revolution party. The guillotine arrived. Wally was thrilled. A man approached Cass. Man: is that your car there? (He sounded innocent and merely curious.) Cass: yes, it is. Man: is that a girl you got tied up in the back seat there?
Adam refused to let MJ back out of the picnic because Prometheus was missing. He said he'd take her home to check on him and take her to the beach. Jake tried to get out of going to the beach. Sam insisted.
Brittany told Catlin she couldn't talk now. He told her to meet him at Mary's Place. He said if he was the father he had rights and obligations. Brittany cuddled her baby and said they had to go and he would love both of them, she knew it. Peter appeared. He revealed that his mother had committed suicide. She had consigned him to a nurse's care by the time he was a week old. Her suicide note spoke of loving her children but he said like all mommies when push came to shove she protected herself.
Cass explained that Fifi was tied up as part of the Sons and Daughters of the French Revolution entertainment. (Bound, she leaps out of a cake and is followed by Prometheus (so strange that Cecile should be tied up with a Prometheus about) who unties her with his teeth. She's meant to be a prisoner. He said Felicia didn't want anyone to know and there was a redhead coming to handle the dog. Cecile made angry noises.
Nancy find Sam unshy and desperate-seeming.
Cecile made very angry noises. Cass told Prometheus she had claustrophobia and shoved her into a closet.
Britney ascertained that Peter had gone out and gave the baby to Bridget to watch. She told her Miss Weston wasn't to touch him. She phoned Rachel but she wasn't in.
Jake's a little quiet. Sam tried to make him have a good time. He apologised. She said she could wait. A scum seemed to appear.
Kathleen was directed to Cass' hidey-hole. She greeted Prometheus with exuberance and Cass with contempt. She yelled at him and said his actions had been unforgivable. He tried to reason with her. (It sounded like she said is surprisingly bad word. These are the people who had to get special dispensation from the Archbishop to say "bitch". Sharon Gabet would seem to be right at home.) She tried to leave. He tried to spring Cecile on her. He flung open the cupboard and Cecile came in in a Marie Antoinette costume complaining prettily that Cass had left her in her underwear. As can be imagined this did not go over well with Kathleen. Cass yelled at her to tell Kathleen the truth. He attempted to shield Kathleen from Cecile's goon waiter. He went to go out to confront him. He told Kathleen to stay. She was confused. Exit Cass.
Sam turned the scum down. Jake advised him to butt out and take off. Adam and MJ showed up. They mentioned that they were cops, casually-like.
Miss Weston asked where the baby was. It's past his bedtime. Brittany told her she was in charge. Miss Weston said she'd tell Peter when he returned home in 5 minutes. Brittany dismissed her and phoned Rachel again . She asked her to pick her up. She sent for her baby. Bridget asked where she was going. Brittany wouldn't say. She fled.
There was a fight, sounds like. Cass and the goon waiter. Cass came out on top.
Cecile told Kathleen Cass had brought her to the party. She offered to pay some of Kathleen's wedding bills. Kathleen refused. Cecile explained Cass' aversion to things middle class. She underlined the sex aspect. She suggested she forgive Cass and free him of guilt. Kathleen got dangerous.
Nancy and Greg found a musical guy named Scott on the beach and shoved him into concert with MJ. They forced her to sing to his accompaniment on the guitar. Still Crazy After All These Years. It was impressive.
Peter caught Brittany with her luggage. He told Bridget to take the baby upstairs. He called Brittany a redneck disgusting slut and said his father would have killed her.
Cecile told Kathleen the goon in the parking lot was an invention for Cass to get away from her [Kathleen]. Kathleen left. Wallingford tried out the speaker system. As Cecile came through loud and clear explaining kindly that Kathleen was not up to Cass' usual standard sexually speaking, Wallingford decided they needed Felicia for reinforcements.
