ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

March 6, 1986

Mac told Nancy he'd managed to have Chris' hearing moved up. Nancy wanted to leave before he arrived but Mac asked her to stay. I think she left.

The mine is collapsing rather. Vic told Jake he still cared about her.

Mac is certain Chris will get his license back. Chris is annoyed with the rest of the doctors. Mac suggested he get Nancy to write a letter on his behalf. Chris says things are not swell in that quarter, the gulf between their respective maturities [?] being wide. Perhaps they shouldn't be together right now. Chris doesn't know.

Neal and Fayez don't get along.

Jake told Vic they'd both get out alive. Together. She told him he still loved her. he said they had to work together to make it.

Michael asked Britt about Victoria. She seems impatient with everyone's interest in this female and made no bones about telling him she'd been around and was probably with Jake. He said Vic would not be off with Marley's man and Britt informed him that he didn't know much about women. In love there are no rules. He said there were. She said if you wanted something you had to fight for it. Britt treats the Victoria situation with beautiful unconcern. She thinks she and Vic are a lot alike. Outsiders who won't be on the outside for long.

Nancy burns with resentment after Chris' talking to. Tom told her he was under stress and possibly scared and embarrassed about it. Nancy was overcome with remorse for not helping him when he came to her for support. She vowed to be there for him and mend the rift within the lute. I think Tom feels she has created a monster.

Marley told Michael she needed to ride. She's upset. He's concerned about her and very nice. She said [when asked for the umpteenth time] that Vic and Jake wouldn't run away together.

Neal prowled about and said "Vicky" under his breath.

Vic said they never should have left Lassiter. Jake maintained they should have. She said they would have had each other. He said they would have been poor & miserable. Something happened. Vic squealed. Jake comforted her [it was a rat]. He said it must have come in from outside and told her to shut up and dig. She said she'd kill him when they got out. He told her to dig for now.

Nancy thought out her campaign. She'll go over to his apartment... Nancy: Chris. Chris: Nancy. What are you doing here? Nancy: I'm so sorry. I was pigheaded and callous and selfish and immature. Will you forgive me? [They're dressed up and he's speaking in a posh British accent.] Chris: Nancy. No no no I was arrogant and condescending and overbearing and unfeeling. Can you forgive me? Nancy: oh Chris forget it I love you. Chris: and I love you Nancy. They danced around being madly in love. He held a rose in his teeth [rendering his conversation unintelligible]. Nancy declared her intention to grow up. She fled in excitement.

Chris looked for Grant's bloodwork among his papers. Pam Bondi found it. She's a chocoholic. He misses his stethoscope and the smell of antiseptic among other disgusting hospital things. He cannot conceive of never being allowed to doctor again. She told him he was just a crazy resident. He's confused about his future with Nancy but he cannot imagine being without her. Pam said it was hard to let go [well I mean I never!]. He said Nancy didn't understand what he was going through. Pam agreed it was hard for CIVILIANS [!!] to relate to their troubles. He's grateful for her help. She demanded payment in chocolate. They chatted and laughed over doctor jokes. Nancy rolled up outside and heard them having a good time.

Vic thinks they're doomed. Jake told her he needed her help to get out. He made her keep working. He said they had to make it.

Britt told Michael Victoria would be all right. Enter Mac and Amanda. She introduced Michael. Michael likes Mac's dropping business to be with his daughter.

The thieves received a report that there was a car outside. Neal and Fayez [to use the familiar refrain] don't get along. Neal said under his breath they had to find them.

Jake told Victoria she hadn't needed him but he needed someone to need him. He hadn't meant to hurt her but it's different now. It sounds like he thinks they're going to die there together and be together forever.

Nancy went home. Tom told her Chris and Pam were just friends. Nancy sounds defeated and sad. She doesn't know what to do.

Michael told Caruso to check out how Vic had come by the money [Britt had mentioned the large sum that saved the estate]. His girl needs him.

Jake told Victoria they'd find a way out. Vic told him they were in love and that was all they had. [She might have suggested sex or she might not. She's a good deal subtler than Brittany so I can't tell.] The thieves made noises. She got unsubtle.
