Donna told Michael she hadn't known John very well but the other girls had told her he was egotistical. And moody. And angry. She seemed a little strange when Michael asked what she'd thought of him herself. She wiggled her eyebrows in consternation. He pressed. She said there had been an undercurrent like a storm about to blow, a large force of nature. (Ick.) Michael said he thought that was very apt for someone show didn't know John.
Mitch and Felicia drank wine down by the docks. No iguanas. Mitch told Felicia not to go romanticising in the middle of dangerous situations, since he didn't want to see her killed. She told him if she'd wanted romance she would have stayed in Bay City and kept her date with Dr Glaser. He asked why she hadn't brought him along, if the aforementioned date was so important.
Peter went back looking for Quinn and found her dead. He skedaddled pretty quickly without being seen. Later Chad came back and chatted with a police officer in a friendly fashion. (Very friendly, is our boy.) The police officer went inside. Chad noticed something and went over to look at Quinn's car, since the officer had said he'd had an APB on a car like it. He found the body and picked up a nearby surgical glove. (Ye gods. Do they never learn?) Instantly he was surrounded by cops with guns, especially Adam. He protested that he was innocent. Adam barked out orders. He made Chad drop the surgical glove and had someone search him. He read him his rights. A cop identified Quinn. Adam felt terrible. He was not very friendly to Chad. Chad said he was innocent.
Zack goofed around in the police station, waiting for Quinn. Mr Barton stomped in. Big Al told Zack to run along. Jamie and Lisa arrived. Adam came in and dragged Zack back into the office. He told him bluntly that Quinn had been killed by the serial killer. Zack freaked out and pushed past everyone to run into the parking lot, where he flung himself sobbing on the corpse. He told her she'd needed someone to take case of her and he'd been going to tell her he loved her.
Felicia seemed to get a little mellow. She told him Dr Glaser was a very busy man and she hardly knew him. They discussed the future. She complimented him to counteract his low self-image. A little less humility. He appreciated it.
The Press behaved itself very badly outside Adam's office. Mr Lessom (Dan) came in to be Chad's lawyer. Adam admitted he hadn't actually seen Chad kill Quinn but he and a couple of other cops had seen him standing over the body. Chad's on his way up. Adam introduced him to his lawyer. Chad said he was innocent.
Peter and Peggy bitched at each other in undertones. She was annoyed that he hadn't told anyone when he found Quinn's body. He was annoyed that she was annoyed. It was a nice argument. She told him he was in trouble enough already.
Michael remarked that Donna had been quiet. She said she'd been wondering what John knew about them. She was weird. She assured him she would never love anyone else.
Felicia threatened to charge Mitch for her friendship by the 50-minute hour. They're friends. When questioned he said it was over with Rachel.
Mr Lessom told Adam he could keep Chad for only 48 hours. Zack burst in and attacked Chad. Adam tried to pull him off.
