Felicia appeared a little foggy. The explosion put her in mind of fireworks. Mitch promised her fireworks if she would get better. He left her with Dr Cheng while he went to investigate.
The brothers heard Donna screaming to be let go. Michael dragged John along to save her life. Bad Idea.
Donna told the Fat Man to wait until Michael got there. [How brave of her, standing up to a big bad man like that. I hate it when she threatens to sic her big bad husband on her tormentors.] He said Michael and John were dead. Donna threw a tantrum. She cried. The Fat Man promised her her very own grave.
Lisa screamed Nancy's name. Everyone rushed out of the room.
Nancy begged Tony [as she thought] not to hurt her. Adam found the door locked. He burst in with MJ and the killer fled out off the balcony. Adam shot at him.
Those downstairs got the general idea of what was going on.
Felicia fantasized deliriously about dancing with Mitch. [Oh, please.] She seemed to feel better for it.
Michael and his undead brother argued in a less than amicable fashion. John did what he could to find fault. Mitch joined the party. He reported on what was happening to Donna. They argued about how to save her. Michael ordered his undead brother to stay put.
Donna cried. She was very childish. I hate her.
MJ returned Nancy to Ada who screamed at Adam for having let the killer escape and MJ for having left Nancy alone. She soothed Nancy and took her aside. Adam seemed to feel just terrible. He suspects he may have wounded the killer.
Michael and Mitch to the rescue. Donna helped a little. When the Fat Man's men were overpowered [John had joined in] Donna noticed John.
Jamie helped Nancy. Everyone railed against the police. Jamie said if Adam had hit the killer and he went for treatment they'd catch him. Vince missed Mary. He went to look for her with That Old Carrot, eager to jump on the bandwagon of concern, in his wake. Others followed. Lisa had no feelings. Rachel called for Adam and MJ. MJ rushed out crying, "MAMA."
Dr Cheng made Felicia drink far more tea than she wanted. "You don't have something in chocolate, do you?" The gang returned. Felicia was happy for Michael. He introduced her to his undead brother. "Forgive me; I don't usually greet new friends horizontally." John knew of artemesia vulgaris. Michael made him greet Donna. Dr Cheng was thrilled to hear that the Fat Man had been tied up. Donna whispered with Felicia about John. Felicia told her not to worry. Michael brought up the impostormother.
They found Mary bound in the linen closet. That Old Carrot pushed himself to the forefront but Mary fell into Vince's arms, weeping. Adam questioned her gently. MJ soothed her. Mary described the attack. Vince soothed her. That Old Carrot was chagrined.
Donna asked Felicia what would happen if Michael found out. Felicia mentioned [without enough firmness] that John had forced himself on her and Michael loved her. She said John might not have any memory, either. Enter Mitch. Exit Donna. Felicia and Mitch chatted quietly. The crickets were overwhelming. She mentioned having dreamed his presence at her sickbed. He said that had been not a dream but an hallucination.
Michael told John their travel plans. John found his decision to turn in the Fat Man excessively righteous, somehow. He told him that he and mom had always been too concerned about the family name. [How wrong that sounds — especially since they didn't care enough not to change it. Besides, I thought it was the Loves who were always on about the name. Or was it Phaedra?] He doesn't appreciate being found. He said he wouldn't come. Michael disagreed.
The bridge has been repaired. The guests were eager to go. No one seen Chad or Tony. Mary was not much help as a witness. Vince took her home. Nancy asked to be allowed to sleep downstairs. Jamie took Lisa home. Ada went to get hot chocolate. Rachel mentioned that Amanda hadn't been able to come home because of finals. [Holy cow, finals actually corresponding to time in the real world.] Mac admitted this was probably a good time for her not to be home. Lisa said goodbye to Adam and MJ. He was very concerned about her getting some rest. MJ tried to tempt him to join those drinking hot chocolate. He elected to lurk alone, brooding. He brooded accordingly.
Felicia was surprised to find herself a little weak. Mitch said there was a litter waiting. Michael seemed a little odd. He promised Donna she wouldn't lose him no matter what. The undead brother insisted that he was stopping in Singapore. Michael told him he owed him an explanation of the last twenty years. He slugged him for the hell he'd put the impostor mother through.
Ed. modern note: According to the dates on the AWHP, May 5 was pre-empted by Iran-Contra hearings. However my synopses have this episode dated May 5 and then the next day is dated ambiguously May 6 & 7. I suspect what must have happened is that CTV aired the May 5 episode as planned while NBC pre-empted the episode. Then on May 6, NBC aired this May 5 episode while CTV aired May 6, and on May 7 NBC aired May 6 and CTV simulcast that same episode again.
