ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 2, 1985

Marley doesn't feel like talking. They'll make a break for it when it gets dark.

Monsieur is thrilled with the way the wing is identical to the Spanish house. Felicia hasn't changed. Edouard has a patch over one eye.

Sally and Felicia returned to the cabin after meeting with the press. It's been one hell of a day. The guys from the big magazines adore her. In spite of it being so hectic Sally had fun. Enter Catlin "someone should be having fun because of all this. It might as well be you." Felicia cowered on the couch as Catlin related his woes. He's been wandering about trying to buy a tuxedo and causing innocent tuxedo salesman to have fainting fits. Sally shoved him into a chair and sat on top of him being soothing the whole while. He seems vaguely ashamed of himself for being in a difficult mood Sally's first day but powerless to help himself. Sally: I'm sorry you had to buy a tuxedo. Catlin: ho, worse than that — I have to wear it. Felicia expressed concern that such an expansive tuxedo would not be ready on time, but Catlin assured her that a chance meeting with Daniel had saved the day. The salesman [by then revived] practically licked his boots and the tuxedo for the husband of the Lesoleil woman will be completed at any cost. Catlin found it weird that he [a complete stranger] felt he had the right to ask anything he wanted. He went to have a chat with Kevin. Sally sat down to cram for her speech. Felicia told her she could talk to Kevin too. Sally said she didn't think it would be a good idea. Felicia said she thought Catlin was more concerned than he was letting on [tremendous hoot of laughter here at home. It seemed to me that he was very obviously upset and given to sounding very bottled up]. Sally thinks Catlin and Kevin are sort of on the same side of this, a different one from hers, and she should stay out of it. Felicia said Edouard had been better than a book and more than his screen self. Sally saw a film of his at 8 and was inspired to long for Paris. Exit Felicia being encouraging about tonight and their great jobs and dreamy men. "Aint love grand?" Enter Catlin. Sally: so how'd it go? Catlin: Kevin said we should all calm down. ESPECIALLY me. Sally: and he's right. Sweetheart. Ain't love grand? Catlin: yeah. Laughter. Sally: come on. Kissing.

Edouard asked Michaud why he hadn't told Felicia he was Albert. Michaud said he'd never intended to trade on his father's name and it wasn't for the world to know. Monsieur said Felicia wasn't the world. Michaud said it was not the Plan. Michaud is convinced Felicia will fall back into his father's arms. He's upset by Edouard's feeling that she won't. They love each other. "No son has ever done more for a father than you have."

Quinn is overworked because of Lesoleil. The baby's coming home today and everybody's thrilled.

Jake is going to put Marley on a bus home after they escape and he'll send Victoria back to deal with her problems. Marley isn't thrilled with that. He said he'd leave her alone after he got her out of there. He said she was a good person. "Yes I'm really a good person and it makes me very happy" she said in a strange tight voice.

Sally is practicing her speech with Catlin helping. She had horrible difficulties but Catlin reassured her. She presented him with a pair of gold cufflinks [at least I think they were cufflinks... all Catlin said as he backed out the door to get shoes stricken with remorse because he hadn't bought anything for her [not that she minded] was "thanks for the things. They are very nice."]

Donna described to Victoria the agony involved in procuring the right flowers. Donna is dateless for tonight but she has hopes of Daniel. Victoria doesn't believe in subtlety in this matter. Donna likes to play games though. They chatted as friends. Vic told her Carl had been there.

Marley told Jake nothing was like it was in Felicia's books [which Victoria loved and believed IMPLICITLY]. Jake thought about kissing Marley a good deal and then withdrawing. Ned's here.

Edouard thought about life with Fanny. The day he named her Felicia Gallant. His wife remains unchanged. Felicia didn't care but he did. "I want to protect you. I want to take care of you." "you're such a dope. I'm the one taking care of you." He's afraid of being a parasite. She assures him he's not.

The baby was put to sleep. Dee sang a song she'd written for the Todds and Quinn. The baby woke up.

Ned is half of a halfwit. And unshaven. He thinks Marley's Victoria and interested.

Donna was mildly upset. "Well at least he[Carl]'s not going to be there tonight." They chatted about Carl and Daddy Love. And Donna's wild week on Michael's family farm. She was happy that week. Victoria's pleased that she'd never told Marley this. Donna says she understands her.

Marley and Jake are nervously waiting for Ned. He says he couldn't stand it if something happened to Marley. He's sorry. Commotion downstairs.

The others are encouraging Ned in his delusions.

Dee told Tom and Carter that she didn't think she should live with them any more and she had enough money to move into the next door apartment. The Todds have enough money to live alone. Both sides had pretended to be strapped in order to help out the other.

Mr. Norris: dear, you're tilting. Sally: I'm sorry. Mr. Norris: you're tilting your head to the left I can't work if you're tilting. Sally: I'm sorry. Mr. Norris: you know you really do have acceptable hair but something like that could throw off the whole look. Sally: Mr. Norris how long is this going to take? Mr. Norris: just like Rex Harrison to Charlton Heston. Sally: who? Mr. Norris: THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY, when Rex kept nagging Charlton to finish the Sistine Chapel. He's doing her hair and he wants to make her happy so he'll be appointed her personal stylist in order to travel ["I've seen your itinerary and I practically flipped, there's three weeks at the Beverly Hills I mean it's to DIE"]. She snapped at him to hurry up, morose at the thought of having to work at this allatime and spend a long time away from home.

Michaud and Edouard are getting ready to go.

Sally's hair is finished. Mr. Norris advised her to ask her husband how he liked it. She commenced worrying because Catlin's not back yet.

Jake tried to get Marley out of the window.
