A goat-like animal found in central Vietnam could be the third new species discovered in the country in as many years, says a naturalist at the National University of Hanoi. Vo Quy says peasants in Thua Thien-Hue province captured a mother and a kid in a trap and sent him a photograph hoping the animals could be identified. "It's a kind of goat, but a little bit strange ... it looks like a new species," he says. the mother was killed by the trap and the baby died soon afterward. The university plan to study [the] bones and skin.
