My approach and perspective...
On this site I am trying to put together some of the life hacks, tools, tricks, approaches and concepts that have helped and progressed my life, career and development over the years. The core to all of the pieces you will find on this site is they started from a simple pain point that addressed rather than trying to ignore. I have found that if something a pain point once, it is likely to be again in the future. I have also found that Pareto's Assertion (80:20 Rule) holds in many situations. As such doing something has value.

You will note that I take a "do and learn" approach on many small things. This means I strive for recording a response, for coverage and "Defence in Depth" rather than perfection in any one point. Doing more on a single point is a process towards the ever elusive perfection. If you do, record, learn and improve, on something that keeps happening, then you can a) know what to do in when you see it again b) have it occur less often (⇓ MTBF) and c) shorten the time to fix it (⇑ MTTR). This lessens the pain, decreases your stress and you are left with more time to really do the things that you want. This is fundamentally a Service and a Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) approach. It really works.
