Alex's 1997 Year-End Lists

I'd originally planned for this section to be slightly more comprehensive, with rambling mini-essays accompanying each of my selections. However, due to several factors (not the least of which is a truly awesome display of procrastination), I've actually never gotten around to writing this article (which has been bouncing around in my head, form more or less unchanged, since late January 1998). As I write this, though, we're entering mid-October 1998, so I figured I'd better get something out before Xmas, or just forget the whole thing.
