Murdoch MACASKILL was born in 1782 in Erista, Uig, Isle of Lewis,
He died on August 23, 1857 in Little Narrows
Jessie FERGUSON was born in c1800 on the
Isle of Lewis
and died after 1871 probably in Little Narrows
They were married in August 1816
Murdoch settled in Antigonish where he had a sawmill that burned
down.
Later moved to Little Narrows where he was its first magistrate.
In 1825, petitioned for a land grant on St Patrick's Channel (south).
