I had my installation in 2009 and have been thoroughly satisfied. Anyone not using a programmable thermostat is doing the equivalent of tearing up $100 bills. Boiling too much water

I have noticed that 75% of guests to our home (we have boarders) fill kettles to the top to boil water for one cup of tea. They don't remember ever being told that it costs twice as much to heat two cups of water as it does to hear one. I have calculated that if people were taught not to do this in school we could cut national domestic energy bills by roughly 20%.

Credit cards

Credit card interest rates are extortionate. Lenders are milking a cash cow. The big losers are people don't even realise they are paying 20% or more interest. They don't have to! There are other methods of borrowing at far lower rates - including other credit cards eager for your business. Once you cut interest rates and your repayments go to pay down principle, your debt can be retired far sooner than you might imagine. Of course, as everyone knows, the best way to explit them is to pay the debt monthly in full, giving you a good service at zero cost.
