In July 2003, Winnie (Vermilion Joy4 Javahill) arrived in Ontario from Linda Fitzmaurice's home in California, making a stop first at the Canadian National Specialty in Calgary.
While in Calgary Winnie took part in the tail gate party and proved that this California girl can party with the best!
Winnie returned home in October 2004 at
7.5 months of
age after obtaining both her Canadian and U.S. Club Working Certificate
titles.
After leaving Gold 'N Toller she continued
her field training and was ready for Senior Hunter competition but had
lost her joy for retrieving. After a break she came back here in
July 2005 and is quickly relearning her love of the game. As of
September 11, 2005 Winnie has run 7 tests in 4 consecutive weekends and
passed them all! She now has 4 legs towards her CKC Senior Hunter
title, her Canadian Working Certificate Intermediate and Working
Certificate Excellent (2 passes!) In October at the U.S. National
Specialty she added the U.S. WCI title to her name the day after
winning Best Hunting Retriever in the conformation show.
