Kylador's Zinfandel Full Monty
WCX, SH, CDX, CGC

Monty is owned by Donna and David Houlton of Ottawa, Ontario.  Bred by Lillian Greensides of Kylador Kennels.  A Gambler son, he is a chip off the old block!  Monty and Donna are having a great time in the field, obedience and conformation.....accomplishments will be announced here!

Born March 14, 2000, Monty earned his WC & CGC 2001.  Monty went on to finish Junior Hunter title on June 22, 2002.  Monty was one of only 6 of the 19 running dogs to pass.  Earned in fine syle, he passed all the tests he was entered in!  Handsome and talented too!

On August 17, 2002 Monty obtained his Working Certificate Intermediate (WCI) title on his first try.  Doing a tremendous job on both land and water, Monty made this test look easy!  In fact, only 5 of the 16 dogs entered passed.

Not satisfied with just a Championship, in July 2003 Monty took this pretty face thing a step further and won Best of Opposite Sex at the 11th Canadian National Specialty in Calgary, Alberta.  Congratulations to owner/trainer/handler Donna Houlton!

Monty started the Fall off by qualifying for two CDX legs in obedience and has capped it off by winning two group placements in the conformation ring.  On November 14, 2003 at the Ottawa Kennel Club, Monty earned a Group 3rd.  The following day he won the Booster (22 Tollers entered) and went on to a Group 4th!  The Fall Ottawa Kennel Club show presents competitive Groups since all the Best in Show dogs are in town for the Invitational Show of Shows which takes place Saturday evening.  Monty's group placements were won over multiple multi-BIS dogs!

2004 started with a bang for Monty when he finished his CDX qualifying in two trials on February 14th.  2004 finished with a bigger bang, with Monty passing the WCX test not once but twice in the same weekend!

Monty continues to wow in 2005!  In May he made his debut in the Utility ring and came away with 2 UD legs.  A month later he made his debut in Senior Hunter and passed both tests with flying colours.

Monty completed his Senior Hunter in 4 straight passes and earned his UD in short order with class placements and wins.  A quick trip to the 2005 Canadian National Specialty saw his winning ways continue where he earned a Certificate of Merit in conformation and passed the Working Certificate Excellent test.
