The Studio 210bx is a high-quality speaker for studio, performance, and practice applications. Originally designed for bass guitar, it can be used with any electric or acoustic instruments that requires a clear and distinct sound, with an extended frequency response at both the low and high ends. The cabinet incorporates two Eminence 10" dual-cone bass drivers, with an adjustable 1" compression driver to provide high-frequency extension and improved attack. This cabinet produces a clean, punchy bass with sharp attack. Good with acoustic guitars and produces a sound that is more smooth and jazzy than the usually guitar cabinet when used with electric guitars. Some breakup when pushed.
This cabinet uses a pair of Eminence Legend B102 dual-cone ceramic-magnet bass speakers mounted in a tuned rear-vented enclosure. An Eminence PSD-2002S mounted on a waveguide provides extended HF response and improved attack. This speaker produces detailed, sharp, and clean bass tones with none of the 'boominess' or 'flabbiness' sometimes found with bass enclosures. The speaker is suitable for mid-powered bass amplifiers with an output under 400W.
The cabinet is finished in 'Blackout' style and is covered in black Tolex, with maple trim and a black steel grill over each 10" speaker. A protective grill is built into the 1" compression driver. The cabinet measures approximately 18.5" wide x 34.5" tall x 17" deep and weighs about 85 lb.
Note: The Eminence Legend B102 speaker used in this cabinet has been discontinued by the manufacturer. However, I have one left in stock and some suppliers in the US still have some in stock (as of 09-2022) for anyone who would like a custom-finished cabinet.
