The original Studio 115 was a unique custom-designed speaker cabinet for performance, studio, and practice applications with guitar or other amplified instruments. The cabinet featured a single Celestion 15" driver with an array of three FaitalPro 4" speakers for extended high-frequency response and enhanced attack. In addition to electric guitars and other instruments, this cabinet is particularly well-suited for use with acoustic instruments. It can be used in either stand-alone applications or as an expansion cabinet with a combo to produce a rich and more powerful sound.
The cabinet uses a single Celestion G15V-100 Fullback ceramic-magnet speaker in a tuned rear-vented enclosure. It incorporates an array of three FaitalPro 4FE32 4" neodynium-magnet speakers for extended high-frequency response and improved attack. The cabinet uses cone-type 4" speakers to produce a smoother sound, rather than a single compression driver. It is conservatively rated at 50W at 8Ω nominal impedance.
