Studio 112 1x12" Compact Speaker Cabinet - Price dependant on finish, options, and installed speaker

Our most popular speaker. The Studio 112 is a high-quality customizable speaker cabinet for performance, studio, and practice applications for guitar and other amplified instruments. The cabinet uses a single Celestion 12" driver to produce a deep and powerful soundstage. It can be used either in stand-alone applications or as an expansion cabinet with a combo for improved sound. The cabinet works well with acoustic guitars and many other acoustic instruments, particularly the exended high-frequency version. Excellent for use with Marshall and other British-style amps, such as Laney, Orange, and Hiwatt.

The Studio 112 is available in three basic speaker configurations:
1. Base model, with Celestion V-Type speaker (50W rating).
2. Upgraded model, with Celestion G12H-75 Creamback (50W rating).
3. Alternate speaker model, with Celestion A-Type speaker (40W rating).

These speakers have been carefully selected for their acoustic characteristics and the cabinet has been tuned to enhance their performance. The Celestion V-Type speaker combines a smooth, linear bottom-end with the traditional Celestion mid- and high-frequency response. The A-Type speaker has similar low-frequency behaviour, with a different balance in the mid- and high-frequency ranges. The G12H-75 Creamback is similar to the V-Type, but with a better-defined top end and a more powerful sound throughout the frequency range.

Other 12" speakers may be substituted at the buyer's request with custom orders. The standard Studio 112 cabinet is front-ported, but a rear-ported version is available on special order. The rear-ported version produces a slightly more spacious sound, but needs to be placed one or two metres from any reflecting surface for the best sound.

The extended-range Studio 112 adds a high-frequency driver, a JBL-Selenium D202Ti or equivalent mounted on a waveguide, to any of the speaker configurations listed above. This provides a significantly enhanced high frequency response and a sharp attack, unlike that found in most conventional guitar cabinets except those marketed for acoustic guitars. Crossover frequency is set to 4 kHz. An adjustable level control for the HF driver, mounted on the rear baffle, allows the cabinet to be tuned to the user's exact requirements.

Custom cabinets may be finished with any Tolex pattern or colour currently available from our suppliers. The front of the cabinet may be finished with either a cloth grill or with a black steel mesh cover over the speaker. The cabinet measures approximately 23" wide x 19.5" tall x 14.5" deep and weighs about 40 to 45 lb, depending on configuration. This cabinet is not recommended for bass guitar.

We do not currently have any versions of the Studio 112 in stock, but will build to order.
