The elm filter program at ">go elm #5" works pretty well for me.
You don't have to use the elm mailreader to use it. I've put a
copy of my "filter-rules" file and some other information at
.
I filter the junk to a junk folder (22 of 26 so far this month),
but you could just as easily send it to /dev/null.
I leave any legitimate mail in my Freeport mailbox and use finger
to check if I have any new mail. I can then use elm to read it or
bounce it over to Freemail or another POP mailbox and download it
from there. One can forward it directly in the "filter-rules", but
I find the format of the forwarded mail a bit ugly.
