Music Stands
Hand crafted wooden music stands designed to provide storage space and functionality while you play music.
These are solidly built to hold a binder full of music on top (unlike many basic metal stands). A large shelf is provided to hold such things as picks, tuner, shaker eggs, pen, kazoo, etc. Hooks are provided to hang a harmonica neck rack, guitar chord, beer bottle etc. The height is adjustable to accommodate either sitting or standing position.
There are lots of bits and pieces I use when playing music and I didn't have a good place to keep these in a consistent and easy to use place so I built this. I also found many metal stands to be too flimsy to solidly hold a binder of music. I designed this stand to meet my needs in music jams in my home.
The stand can be separated into 2 parts for transport if desired however it is not designed to be particularly portable, and is better suited to be kept set up in your music room.
Typical features (see photos and descriptions for specific model features)
- Large shelf area for tuners, pen/pencil, harmonicas, picks etc.
- Adjustable height can be used sitting or standing. Typically about 6 settings.
- Piano Configuration the stand is reversed so the foot goes forward and the stand leans forward over the electronic keyboard. See photo below. Most models can be re-configured in this way.
- Large flat back panel designed to hold sheets or full binders of music. Solid to allow making notes on music.
- Spline joints for contrast and strength
- Brass hardware for height adjustment, typically 5-6 positions, suited for standing or sitting.

- Guitar pick area exotic/colorful wood generally used for visual contrast
- Lamp mount, lamp - lights from above
- Hangers for guitar cord, harmonica neck rack, etc.
- Neoprene beer cooler - keeps beer cool and hangs from the stand
