George A. Locke1879 Born Elmvale Ont. The death occurred suddenly on Thursday, February 1, of George A. Locke, aged 66 years, a pioneer resident of the Wartime district. Born in Elmvale, Ontario, the late Mr. Locke came west, settling in Broderick, Sask. 35 years ago. He moved to Wartime, Sask. in 1914 where he homesteaded and has resided here since that time. In 1911 he married Miss Catherine Campbell, of Outlook, who survives him. He was well-known over a wide area and was popular with all who knew hom. The many beautiful floral tributes testified to the esteem in which he was held in the community. Mr. Locke was a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge, having originally belonged to the lodge in Elmvale, Ontario, as a young man. Deceased is survived by his widow, three sons and one daughter. The sons are Joseph, of Wartime; A.B. Neil Locke, R.C.N.V.R., of Cougar patrol ship, west coast; Arthur, of Saskatoon, and the daughter is Mrs. J. S. Yuers, Fort William, Ontario. Also surviving is a sister, Annie, of Elmvale; and John Campbell, of Biggar is a brother-in-law. Services were held on Monday, February 5 in the Wartime United Church with ... Rev.
